Recommended Dog Walkers, Sitters and Care Services in London
We know that you want the best treatment for your dog, and that finding the right trusted professionals can make a big difference to their quality of life. If you have your first puppy, or if you’re new to the area, then it can be a challenge deciding who to work with. We’ve put together a guide to some of the services in South East London that we trust and are happy to recommend that would complement our dog training services.
Bartosik Behaviour & Beyond – Dog Sitting
Anna, a skilled dog trainer, utilizes her expertise to offer top-notch care to the animals she looks after. She offers her pet-sitting services globally, catering to a diverse range of dogs and extends her expertise to various other pets like cats, guinea pigs, parrots, chickens, and tortoises.
Focusing on caring for her client’s animals in their own homes, she ensures a smooth transition and minimal stress for them.
Anna excels in building connections with nervous and reactive dogs, utilizing her educated approach and expertise in reading body language. She is committed to following training plans for separation-related issues and physiotherapy exercises.
Tails of the city – Dog Grooming
Francesca is a wonderful dog groomer based in Bermondsey (SE16/SE1).
Fran grooms dogs in her own home which is brilliant for pups who need to get used to grooming as well as dogs who find the typical grooming environment worrying. She takes each grooming appointment at the dog’s pace, never pushing them if they are uncomfortable.
She has a Level 2 City and Guilds Diploma in grooming and a Level 2 Canine First Aid Certificate (VTQ).
Dogboxx – Dog Walking
DogBoxx is owned by Lydia, a South London local dog walker and owner. Lydia picks up groups of dogs from the Southwark/Bermondsey/Peckham areas in her big box bike and takes them for long runs in Southwark or Burgess Park. The speedy bike gives her plenty of time for at least 45 minutes in the park.
Chelsea Rubinat – Animal Osteopathy
Chelsea is an animal osteopath operating in London and East Sussex. She frequently treats my golden retriever Buffy who has hip dysplasia and I cannot recommend her enough. Chelsea is brilliant at making her feel safe and gives her choice in the sessions and Buffy is visibly happier and more comfortable after her treatments.
Chelsea says:
“My work is based on the restoration of the body’s homeostasis while maintaining respect of each individual I treat. To achieve this I use various procedures including structural manipulations, myofascial work, visceral treatments and craniosacral techniques as well as stretching and exercises to bring comfort and ensure well being for the animal.”
Flow Motion – Canine Hydrotherapy
Flowmotion have been and incredible part of my golden retriever’s care after she was diagnosed with hip dysplasia. The team are friendly and accommodating to both the human and the dog’s needs and it is now Buffy’s favourite day of the week!
They do everything using force free/positive reinforcement methods, allowing your dog to take things at their pace.
Conveniently based in East London, their specialist canine hydrotherapy and physiotherapy centre offers a heated indoor pool designed for rehabilitation, fitness and fun.
