Puppy Training & Socialisation Classes In Deptford (SE8)
Welcome to our entry-level Puppy Training Classes will guide you through everything you need to know to help your puppy become a happy, confident dog who takes London life in their stride.
The course is designed for puppies in their early development stages (up to 22 weeks old) and covers essential skills such as useful foundational behaviours, socialisation and managing what London throws at us. We use positive reinforcement techniques in a safe, fun and supportive environment where we lay the foundation for a healthy, lifelong relationship between you and your doggo. The pups will spend 5 weeks learning core foundational skills as well as learning to interact with each other in a safe and appropriate way combining training and and socialising in a fun and effective way!
What will be covered
- Foundational level: 6 x 1 hr sessions: A 1-hour online orientation class + 5 x 1-hour practical in-person classes in our hall or the park during the summer months
- Modern training methods: marker training, sit, down, settle, drop, leave it, loose lead walking, attention & recall
- Important city life skills: I can be calm, I can be handled, I have self-control, I can listen, I am allowed to be a dog
- Puppy topic advice: puppy socialisation, appropriate puppy play, body language and communication, toilet training, separation training, nipping & biting, crate training, sleeping through the night, nutrition & preventing resource guarding

Requirements / Terms – Deptford
- We take up to 4 puppies per class to keep the class size small and provide more one‑to‑one advice and guidance.
- As our Deptford classes are hosted in a doggy day care facility, we require that all puppies have had both of their vaccines before classes start. If this is not possible, classes can be done online until your pup is fully vaccinated and can join us in-person for the rest of the course.
- Our Deptford classes take place under a railway arch so there will be the occasional sound of trains going overhead. We will use this as a training exercise but please keep this in mind if you have a puppy that is particularly scared of loud noises.
- Please note that our puppy classes are based on a first‑come, first‑served basis, and prepayment in full is required to secure your pup’s spot. We will hold a place for your puppy for 48 hours after we have sent you an invoice.
- For puppies who are particularly fearful, anxious or reactive towards people and other dogs, please get in touch before booking. We may need to assess if a group puppy class is the best environment for them at this stage or if private may be more appropriate – please see the terms and conditions below for more information.
